This is my first property purchase after renting for many years and saving for that much-needed deposit, I am so pleased I took the step. After deciding to take that plunge I wanted somewhere that was really accessible to amenities but also well placed for my commute to work, so that was a big draw for me with this flat, and the dedicated parking space immediately opposite is fantastic, I appreciated not all flats have this.

Location wise this flat is perfect, just 6 miles to neighbouring Tunbridge Wells and also 40 minutes by train into central London.  But Tonbridge itself is a great place to live; there is an array of supermarkets, local independent shops, pubs and restaurants, all within easy walking distance of the flat, and right outside there is a beautiful river walk along the Medway, both towards the town centre and through to Haysden Country Park, and in the other direction out into the rural fields of Kent. Great for relaxing walks, running, cycling, and even kayaking on the river.  The best of town and country! The leisure centre and swimming pool are also close by for those bad weather days.

When I got the opportunity to view my future home for the first time I knew it was for me. It has a very homely and cosy feel, situated on the top floor and with some sloping ceilings, which are a really nice feature.  It’s not just a box, and I loved the layout. It’s very modern, finished neutrally, has a super kitchen with good quality appliances, and whilst open plan has a dividing wall which separates this area off from the living room really well. The second bedroom I could see would make a superb home office for me. It’s light, bright, airy, and you can see for miles out the window. It had all I wanted and more.
